The 2030 Agenda is a universal programme for sustainable development. Its ambition is to transform our world by eradicating poverty and inequalities and ensuring an ecological and sollidarity-based transition by 2030. It is based on 17 goals (SDGs) that cover all the challenges of sustainable development.
Cradle to grave
Whether we’re talking about a good, a service or even a process, every stage in a product’s life cycle is taken into account in the flows inventory, from “cradle to grave”: extraction of the energy and non-energy raw materials needed to manufacture the product, distribution, use, collection and elimination towards the end-of-life channels, as well as all the transport phases.

Producing as much or more energy than needed without taking into account consumption and production profiles.
Carbon footprint of organisations
The quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals according to ISO 14064-1:2018 standard using the Bilan Carbone® or GHG Protocol® methodologies.
The objectives of such evaluation are to :
– Identify the impacts and dependencies on climate of the organisation
– Set reductions targets according to the international and sectorial best practices, requirements and pathways
– Develop and implement an action plan aiming to avoid and reduce GHG emissions, offset the remaining abated emissions and remove carbon from the atmosphere
– Disclose the results, indicators, targets and action plan on international database such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
LCA : Life Cycle Analysis
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) identifies and quantifies the physical flows of materials and energy associated with human activities throughout a product’s life. It assesses the potential impacts on the environment, such as global warming potential or water acidification. LCA is carried out in accordance with international standards ISO 14040 to ISO 14043.
Cradle to gate
In a life cycle analysis from “cradle to factory gate”, only the energy and non-energy raw materials needed to manufacture the product are taken into account in the flow inventory.
